Research interests

Mechanisms of regulation, acclimation and protection of photosynthetic apparatus in plants and algae. Prevention of damages under stresses: water, oxidative and induced by phosphate deficiency. Role of stomata, photorespiration, xanthophyll cycle and poliamines in protecive reaction. Regulation of gene expression of selected enzymes of sucrose/starch synthesis of Arabidopsis thaliana under phosphate deficiency (investigation realised at cooperation with Department of Plant Physiology, Umea University, Sweden). Differentiation and regeneration of plant organs in vitro.
